FAB Fest 5 - Death and the Devil was an all day film festival, live performance and booklaunch event to celebrate the publication of The Gospel of Filth, written by Gavin Baddeley and Dani Filth.
Three great devilish feature films were shown, along with some fantastic short horror movies and an exclusive live one-man stage performance by horror legend Doug Bradley, aka Pinhead from the Hellraiser films:
RACE WITH THE DEVIL (Jack Starrett, 1975)
Two couples far from home witness a witches sabbath during which a young girl is sacrificed. The Satanists spot the intruders and proceed to hunt them down remorselessly in this classic chase film that is part road movie and part occult horror flick.
DOUG BRADLEY SHORT FILM TRIPLE BILL:
ON EDGE (Frazer Lee, 2001)
An angry businessman arrives at the dentist without an appointment. He gets more than he bargained for in the surgery when he encounters the mysterious Dr. Matthews.
RED LINES (Frazer Lee, 2002)
A schoolgirl is kept in detention and is forced to write lines by her teacher. All alone in the eerily quiet classroom, Emily's night becomes a nightmare when she discovers the mystery of the 'Red Lines'.
THE TELL TALE HEART (Doug Bradley, 2009)
Following Doug Bradley's award winning adaptation of H.P. Lovecraft's The Outsider, the second film in Bradley's Spine Chillers Series is Edgar Allan Poe's classic tale of murder and madness.
THE DEVIL'S RAIN (Robert Fuest, 1975)
This incredible Satanic curse movie is famed for its scenes of melting cult members and for its intriguing cast, including established thesps such as John Travolta and William Shatner. Best of all, Church of Satan founder Anton LaVey makes an appearance too!
AN EVENING WITH DEATH
For the first ever time in London, horror star Doug Bradley - famous for his portrayal of Pinhead from the Hellraiser films, and as the narrator on the four most recent albums from Cradle of Filth - will be performing his one man live show 'An Evening With Death'.
BLACK SABBATH (Mario Bava, 1964)
A stunning anthology of supernatural chills, Bava's classic is not only one of the greatest Gothic horror movies ever made, but also the film that inspired the name of the first heavy metal band!
