GIALLO MOVIE POSTERS
Volume 2: 1970–1971
It is because the genre exploded in the early 1970s that this volume of the on-going series focuses on only two years. Dario Argento released three giallo classics in those two years, and directors such as Umberto Lenzi, Mario Bava, Sergio Martino, and Lucio Fulci also made some of their most important contributions to the genre. The volume also includes numerous posters for lesser-known and almost forgotten films.
Almost 300 posters from 49 gialli from the heyday of the genre, completely bilingual content (German / English) and, of course completely in colour.
Almost all of the posters featured in this book were photographed or scanned and professionally retouched by Creepy Images, who have spared no expense or effort: in addition to posters from their own archive and loans from collector friends, they have purchased many posters in order to reproduce them in the best possible quality. Only a few posters have already been made available to them in digital form.
A total of four volumes will be published in the GIALLO MOVIE POSTERS series, covering a period of over 60 years.
Creepy Images have done it! Despite all reason, they decided to tackle a project they had rejected years ago because it was too expensive and too much work. Creepy Images are devoting themselves to the subject of giallo film posters ... but not just any old way: they present over 300 films of the genre from over 60 years on more than 800 pages with over 1,200 movie posters from all over the world. This is not only the most extensive project in CREEPY*IMAGES' 15-year history, but also the most detailed and comprehensive treatment of the subject ever undertaken. As a single book of this size would have presented unmanageable financial, logistical and labour problems, Creepy Images have decided to make it into four volumes.
